Milwaukee Cable Cutter Replacement Blade Guide
Use the exact Milwaukee cutter or cutting-jaw catalog number to identify the documented replacement blade. The 2472, Cu/Al jaw, ACSR jaw and utility cutters use different blade paths.
Compatibility rule
Match the exact model, application and replacement/accessory family before buying. Similar size or physical fit is not enough when the manufacturer documents different blades, studs, jaws, shoes or supports.

Milwaukee replacement blades are model- and jaw-specific
Milwaukee’s cable-cutting range includes dedicated M12 cutters, M18 FORCE LOGIC cutters, interchangeable Cu/Al and ACSR jaws, large underground cutters and hard-wire jaws. Several of those tools share a red power platform but do not share a replacement blade.

2672 Cu/Al and ACSR blades are intentionally different
The 49-16-2772 Cu/Al jaw and 49-16-2773 ACSR jaw are separate material systems. Their replacement blades—48-44-0411 and 48-44-0412—should not be interchanged simply because both jaws can be used in related FORCE LOGIC configurations. The steel reinforcement in ACSR changes the cutting requirement.
Compare Milwaukee cable-cutter replacement blades
Search by the exact blade number and verify the listing against the tool/jaw above. Avoid generic “Milwaukee cable cutter blade” listings that do not state the compatible catalog number.
The power tool is not always the compatibility key—the installed jaw may be
Milwaukee’s 6-ton platform can use different cutting jaws. That means the correct replacement part can depend on the jaw catalog number, not only the power unit. If the jaw number is unclear, use the Cable Cutter Blade & Jaw Finder before ordering.
When blade damage suggests a larger tool problem
A chipped or dull blade can be a normal consumable issue, but repeated damage can also indicate use on the wrong material, exceeding published capacity or a misaligned/damaged cutter. Replacement-blade selection does not replace the manufacturer’s inspection, service and operating instructions.
For complete tool and material context see the Milwaukee Cable Cutter Guide and the broader Battery Cable Cutter Guide.
Replacement-blade selection checklist
- Read the cutter and jaw catalog numbers. A 2672 power unit with a Cu/Al jaw is not the same replacement path as the ACSR jaw used on a related FORCE LOGIC system.
- Confirm the material that damaged or dulled the blade. If the wrong material was cut, replacing the blade without correcting the application can repeat the damage.
- Inspect both sides of a paired blade set. Some Milwaukee cutter systems use matched blade components; follow the service or operator instructions for replacement rather than changing only the visibly damaged piece when the manufacturer specifies a set.
- Check jaw alignment and fasteners. Uneven wear can indicate a service issue rather than ordinary blade consumption.
- Match the exact replacement number. Marketplace listings frequently group visually similar Milwaukee blades under broad titles. Use 48-44-0410, 48-44-0411, 48-44-0412, 49-16-2774, 49-16-2775 or 48-44-2777 as applicable.
Where the cutter is used in production work, keeping the replacement part number with the tool’s maintenance record can reduce downtime and avoid ordering the wrong blade after a failure.
